What should I do about this. . . 10 points?

ok so i told this boy i wanted to hang out with him and then he asked where? Then i said i dont know, where do u want to go. Then he said your the one suggested ,then I said ok how about hooters. Then he said naw im good on that. maybe we could chill ( I dont now what that means. help!!!). . then i said do you mean your house? . then he said i dont know. but we'll c what happens. Then I said ok, let me know. This kid has confused me to the max. I not even sure if he really wants to hang out or not by the answers he is giving. I'm not sure if I should even ask him if we are still on for friday because i will feel like I am being clingy and i kind of feel like he should ask. He also didn't necessarily say he was going to get back to me because he said we'll see what happens and I don't know what that means. What should I do, should i ask him about it or should I let him say something? Do you think he even sound like he wants to hang out with me.?
