What should I do about this. . . 10 points?

ok so on Thursday i told this boy i wanted to hang out with him on friday(this friday) and then he asked where? Then i said i dont know, where do u want to go. Then he said your the one suggested ,then I said ok how about hooters. Then he said naw im good on that. maybe we could chill . then i said do you mean your house? . then he said i dont know. but we'll c what happens. Then I said ok, let me know. This kid has confused me to the max. I not even sure if he really wants to hang out or not by the answers he is giving. I'm not sure if I should even ask him if we are still on for friday because i will feel like I am being clingy and i kind of feel like he should ask. He also didn't necessarily say he was going to get back to me because he said we'll see what happens and I don't know what that means. What should I do, should i ask him about it or should I let him say something? Do you think he even sound like he wants to hang out with me.? Also he is making plans to see other people but thats thursday and saturday. I know that he just got a job and he gets off at 8pm all the time,but if thats the reason that he doesn't know about friday, why can't he just say it. So what do you think??
