I am SO confused...can you guys help?

If a guy saids I care for you and that you're important to me....and well also my friend and him they got into a fight, and this one time I asked if he was mad at me, and he said naw I love you...like I'm sure it''s nothing...but do you guys think it might be anything else? I might just be a typical girl and overanalyzing this but what do you think? PLEASE help? :/
